What a great event to celebrate. Tell Carol congrats. I did not realize that she wasn’t a US Citizen. Where was she from? Tell her we are thrilled – as are you, I can tell. If you two are ever near Southwest Florida (white sugar-sand beaches just 100 miles west across the skinny state from Lauderdale and Miami). please come visit. As you know, we sold our home and left California in 2002 aboard our sailboat “Therapy.” We lived aboard for almost three years, cruising ports down the Baja and then the mainland of Mexico, ultimately ending up retired here in Florida in 2005. We sold our sailboat in 2008 and have scaled back from a 60-footer to a 25-foot fishing boat with a cuddy cabin. At the time we cruised, communication was possible but limited from onboard equipment. We lost contact with so many friends, including members of our California All-Stars group. Do you keep in touch? Is everyone well? Please extend our regards to everyone.

Carol was born on Newcastle-on-Tyne – English mother and Canadian Father … she came to Vancouver as a child, then grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The naturalization ceremony was a few years after 9/11 … that was part of the reason she decided it was time to do it.
Will look you up if we return to your ‘hood. We were there for my 60th birthday in 2009.
