Over 10 years ago I made this video of the Klezmer Band from a street party at Sauls. If you don’t know Klezmer, you’re in for a treat!

Klezmer Street Party Fundraiser for Ukrainian Refugee Relief

Dance in the street to a ~20 piece klezmer band, Thursday, July 28, 5-7:30pm outside of Saul’s Deli, 1475 Shattuck Avenue. The street will be closed off for the North Berkeley Farmer’s market. Saul’s and other nearby restaurants will be serving outdoor meals.

Joel Ben Izzy will tell stories!

The band will be fundraising to support World Central Kitchen’s efforts to feed Ukrainian refugees. Since Russia invaded Ukraine over 5 months ago, World Central Kitchen has served over 100 million meals to Ukrainian refugees (including some by one of the Saul’s owners).
