I came to Berkeley in 1974 to work for Chevron... and have
lived here ever since. One of the things I love about living
here is the diverse neighborhoods with gracious homes and

Ira grew up in The Bronx, graduated from The Bronx High School
Of Science, received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The
Cooper Union, and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the
University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He worked for 10 years
as an engineer for Chevron Research
