Rockridge is one of the
East Bay's best residential and shopping neighborhoods.
It has wonderful craftsman homes, delightful shops
and convenient highway access.
Stroll down College Avenue from Claremont Avenue
to Broadway and you'll be in the heart of the shopping
district. Stop off for coffee in the Market Hall
and visit the appealing shops which remind me of
Rue Cler in Paris. Rockridge has two excellent
independent bookstores within block of each other
- Pendragon and Diesel books.
Most of the homes in Upper
Rockridge (above Broadway or Broadway Terrace)
were rebuilt after the Berkeley
Hills fire, and tend to be grander in size and
scale.
Rockridge is particularly desirable because it's has great shops... and wonderful
transportation. It's easy to travel north to Berkeley, west to San Francisco,
east to Walnut Creek (Highway 24 and the Rockridge BART station cross College
Avenue), or south to San Jose.
